U.S. Representative Becca Balint, who represents Vermont’s at-large district in Congress, has recently used her social media platform to address legislative and political concerns, as well as share cultural content with her followers.

On August 12, 2025, Balint criticized the application of a federal statute by a fellow lawmaker: “The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 was once a rarely used provision. But now Marco Rubio uses it daily. It was his basis for going after Mahmoud Khalil, Rümeysa Öztürk, and others to suppress political speech. So @RepDeborahRoss and I want to repeal it https://t.co/xsCxR5wFFc”.

The following day, on August 13, 2025, Balint posted a brief message referencing an article or story: “The Life of a Showgirl https://t.co/O6LiVkUNmf”.

Later that same day, she commented on alleged misuse of presidential power: “He is using the office of the presidency to enrich himself, his family, and his friends — while gutting health care and raising prices for the rest of us. https://t.co/IO8eD7s9H3”.

Balint has served in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Peter Welch. Prior to her tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives, she was a member of the Vermont Senate from 2017 to 2021. Born in Heidelberg in 1968 and currently residing in Brattleboro, Balint graduated from Smith College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2001.
