U.S. Representative Becca Balint, who represents Vermont’s at-large district in Congress, posted a series of tweets on November 13, 2025, addressing issues ranging from federal food programs to the release of Epstein files and DoorDash’s business practices.
In her first tweet at 17:01 UTC, Balint criticized efforts to cut funding for child nutrition programs and referenced former President Donald Trump’s conduct in office. She wrote, “These people need to get their hands off programs that feed hungry kids. Don’t talk to us about corruption when Trump is in the White House building a ballroom, throwing Great Gatsby parties, and bragging about covering the Oval Office in gold (which by the way looks gaudy!)”
Later that day at 18:20 UTC, Balint commented on congressional action regarding the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s connections. She stated, “News: The House is now well on our way to force the release of the Epstein files. No more playing games about Trump’s involvement with Epstein. He’s in the files.”
In a subsequent post at 18:50 UTC, Balint questioned recent developments involving DoorDash’s financial offerings for customers. She tweeted, “Is that the same DoorDash that’s allowing people to order takeout with a loan? Asking for a friend.”
Balint has served as Vermont’s representative since 2023 after succeeding Peter Welch. Before her tenure in Congress, she was a member of the Vermont Senate from 2017 to 2021. Born in Heidelberg, West Germany in 1968 and currently residing in Brattleboro, Balint holds a BA from Smith College earned in 2001.
