Kenworthy and Schick each earned 18th place finishes as the Vermont Catamounts women’s swimming and diving team competed at the CSCAA National Invitational Championship in Ocala, Florida, according to a March 14 announcement.

The event brought together top collegiate swimmers from across the country, providing an opportunity for athletes to compete on a national stage. The Catamounts were represented by four student-athletes during the competition.

Head Coach Gerry Cournoyer said, “I was really pleased to see how well our student-athletes competed and represented Vermont on the national stage this weekend in Florida.”

The Catamounts began their meet on Thursday with a 31st place finish in the 200 Free Relay. The relay team of Schick, Kenworthy, Sarah Dexter, and Jess Drozdowski finished with a time of 1:39.19. In individual events, Schick placed 30th overall in the 50 Backstroke preliminaries with a time of 25.81 seconds. On Friday, she finished 26th in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 55.26 seconds.
