Rep. Becca Balint, who represents Vermont’s at-large district in the U.S. Congress, addressed several issues in a series of posts on February 12, 2026, including criticism of actions by AG Pam Bondi, developments involving ICE and CBP in Minnesota, and an upcoming town hall event.
In a post published at 19:25 UTC on February 12, Balint commented on the conduct of Attorney General Pam Bondi regarding survivors of Jeffrey Epstein. She wrote: “As a mom, AG Pam Bondi’s willingness to expose, publish, and re-traumatize Epstein survivors is heartbreaking. Compassion is an American value, not a partisan one.”
Later that day at 22:44 UTC, Balint responded to news about federal immigration agencies leaving Minnesota. She stated: “I’m relieved to hear that ICE and CBP will be pulled from Minnesota.
Minnesotans will never forget the injustice they have experienced. The healing process will be long and hard. But they did it. Through strategic resistance, they successfully got this rogue army off their”
Balint also reached out to her Vermont constituents in a tweet posted at 22:52 UTC the same day. She announced an upcoming public meeting focused on economic concerns: “Vermonters! I’m hosting a town hall in Rutland next Wednesday at Paramount Theatre to talk about the cost of living and affordability crisis we are in. Doors will open at 5 PM, but you can also tune in to the livestream on our YouTube. See you there!”
Balint has served as Vermont’s sole representative in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Peter Welch. Before her tenure in Congress, she was a member of the Vermont Senate from 2017 to 2021 and holds a BA from Smith College earned in 2001. Born in Heidelberg, West Germany in 1968, Balint currently resides in Brattleboro.
