Rep. Becca Balint, who has represented Vermont’s at-large district in the U.S. Congress since 2023, addressed her followers with a series of posts on January 25 and 26, focusing on congressional accountability, the presidency, and an upcoming town hall.
On January 25, Balint posted criticism of congressional Republicans: “Republicans never miss a chance to cite the Second Amendment – until the facts contradict the administration’s cover up. Then they disappear.
We need Republicans in Congress to put country before party and stand up with us now.”
Later that day, she directed a message at President Biden: “I want to remind the President: God sees all.”
On January 26, Balint announced an event for her constituents: “Vermonters, I’m holding a town hall in Montpelier TOMORROW, Tuesday, January 27 at the College Hall Chapel. Join us at 5:30PM in person or catch the livestream to talk about what’s going on with ICE, healthcare and more.
Space is limited! RSVP here:”
Balint began serving as Vermont’s sole member of the U.S. House after replacing Peter Welch in 2023. Before her election to Congress, she served in the Vermont Senate from 2017 to 2021. She was born in Heidelberg, West Germany in 1968 and currently resides in Brattleboro. Balint holds a BA from Smith College earned in 2001.
