Rep. Becca Balint, U.S. Congresswoman representing Vermont’s at-large district since 2023, recently addressed her constituents through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), covering topics from local engagement to personal reflections.

On February 13, 2026, Balint highlighted the straightforward nature of Vermonters in a post that referenced a mention by television host Jimmy Kimmel: “We’re direct up here in Vermont. Thanks for the shoutout @jimmykimmel!”

Later that day, she invited Vermonters to an upcoming community event: “Vermonters! I’m hosting a town hall in Rutland next Wednesday at Paramount Theatre to talk about the cost of living and affordability crisis we are in. Doors will open at 5 PM, but you can also tune in to the livestream on our YouTube. See you there!” The town hall aims to address ongoing concerns regarding affordability and cost of living within the state.

On February 14, Balint shared a personal message for Valentine’s Day: “Happy Valentines Day! Every day, Elizabeth reminds me to lead with love, and to keep fighting for more of it. Because in a world that too often chooses to hate, love is still the most powerful force we have. Go tell someone you love them! “

Balint has served as Vermont’s representative since replacing Peter Welch in 2023 and previously held office in the Vermont Senate from 2017 to 2021. Born in Heidelberg, West Germany in 1968 and now residing in Brattleboro, Balint holds a BA from Smith College.
