Rep. Becca Balint, U.S. Congresswoman representing Vermont’s at-large district since 2023, has recently addressed several key issues on her social media platform, including town hall meetings and congressional action on the release of the Epstein files.
On November 15, 2025, Balint announced her participation in a Michigan town hall alongside Rep. Rashida Tlaib in a district represented by GOP Rep. John James. In her post, she stated: “I’m on my way to Michigan to join a town hall with @RepRashida in the district held by GOP Rep. John James. Working people are living through an affordability crisis and House Republicans are turning a blind eye. They’re not showing up for their constituents, so we will.”
Three days later, on November 18, Balint promoted an upcoming virtual event focused on healthcare with Senators Bernie Sanders and Peter Welch: ” Town Hall Time
Join @SenSanders, @SenPeterWelch, and me for a virtual town hall to answer your questions on healthcare.

Later that same day, Balint shared her stance regarding the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein: “Powerful men protect powerful men. I voted to release the Epstein files and send a message to all victims of trafficking and sex abuse that we stand with you. The American people deserve to see what’s in the files.
The Senate must send this to the President’s desk immediately.”
Balint succeeded Peter Welch as Vermont’s representative in Congress after his departure in 2023 and previously served in the Vermont Senate from 2017 to 2021. She was born in Heidelberg, West Germany in 1968 and currently resides in Brattleboro. Balint holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College.
