Cost of college went up for all students at Saint Michael's College

Tuition and fees rose 4 percent for 2018-19 at Saint Michael's College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Vermont students paid $45,375 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,735 more than the $43,640 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 407 students received grants or scholarships totaling $10.6 million and 272 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.6 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,950), 1,754 students used grants or scholarships totaling $42.4 million, and 1,061 students took out $7.7 million in federal student loans.
