Cost of college went up for all students at Champlain College

Tuition and fees rose 3 percent for 2018-19 at Champlain College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Vermont students paid $41,010 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,192 more than the $39,818 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 580 students received grants or scholarships totaling $11.2 million and 397 students took out student loans totaling more than $3.7 million.

Including all undergraduates (4,531), 2,623 students used grants or scholarships totaling $42.3 million, and 2,107 students took out $16 million in federal student loans.
