Cost of college was unchanged for all students at the Advanced Welding Institute

Tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at the Advanced Welding Institute, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Vermont students paid $20,500 to attend the private for-profit school in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Data shows 58 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 38 students received grants or scholarships totaling $205,416 and 38 students took out student loans totaling more than $413,022.

Including all undergraduates (56), 47 students used grants or scholarships totaling $290,715, and 43 students took out $249,413 in federal student loans.
