St Albans Ace Hardware to give away American flags

St Albans Ace Hardware will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

Vermont lost 82 soldiers in the Korean war and 68 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 109 N Main St, Saint Albans will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Robert E. Glidden Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at St Albans Ace Hardware while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

St Albans Ace Hardware is located at 109 N Main St, Saint Albans, Vermont. This location is owned by Gordon A Winters, represented by Shep Hayes and managed by Kasey Fortin.
