The University of Vermont issued the following announcement.
Anew study led by UVM researchers found that using a smartphone app that monitored smoking and delivered financial incentives to participants’ debit cards improved odds of smoking abstinence during pregnancy and following childbirth. The findings pave the way to expand the reach of this intervention to more peripartum individuals, including those with socioeconomic disadvantages. Read more at the Larner College of Medicine.
