Summer Camp Recap

Summer is a special time of year where kids from around the city have the opportunity to attend creative, engaging camps and to have positive experiences, make new friends and just have fun.  Over 300 families took advantage our 2022 SBRP Summer Camps.

This summer we offered camps that covered interests such as science, art, nature and sports.  Some camps were smaller in size while others had many participants that were broken into age groups.  We used indoor classroom space at FHMS and also held camps outdoors within our SB parks.  Fishing camp ventured outside the city to take advantage of favorite spots like Colchester Pond, the Burlington Fishing Pier and around the Shelburne boat access.  We were fortunate to continue our partnership with The Edge to offer 4 different sessions of Tennis Camp at their Eastwood Drive facility.  Camp offerings through Crow’s Path and Common Roots were also supported by our department.  Simply put, summer truly is a special time of year.
