Escaping the Summer Heat

When thinking of summer activities, one doesn’t often think of ice skating. But wouldn’t it be great to be able to ice skate on a sunny hot day to cool off and have fun? Well on August 20th, with temperatures of around 85 degrees, the South Burlington community came out to Douglas Cairns arena for a Family Skate Night!

Cairns Arena is a year-round ice-skating rink that has two full size ice rinks with lots of viewing spaces, a pro shop, and concessions. We offered a free family skate night to escape the heat and glide around with friends and family. If you didn’t own your own ice skates, rentals were free so everyone had the chance to skate. Whether it was your first time ever ice skating or 1,000th time, you cant beat ice skating in August for free. Thanks to everyone who came!
