Manufactured (mobile) home communities have been in the news a lot recently. They provide important affordable housing but often suffer from poor maintenance and crumbling infrastructure due to neglect by park owners. Resident-owned parks are working hard to solve these issues, but are running into funding roadblocks.
In a recent VTDigger article, Stephen Hamlin, of North Avenue Cooperative (a resident-owned manufactured home community in Burlington's New North End), calls on Sen. Leahy to support the PRICE program, which provides funding to help resident-owned communities make much-needed infrastructural improvements.
