The following day, January 27, 2025, she emphasized the importance of strengthening the labor movement in light of Donald Trump's influence: "To survive Trump, the labor movement is going to need to be stronger than ever. Whenever you get the opportunity, stand with unions and with workers' rights."
Later that same day, Balint criticized Donald Trump's actions regarding aid to California for wildfire recovery: "Donald Trump's ego and immaturity are stonewalling LA rebuilding and recovering. Conditioning wildfire aid to Californians for the mere fact they overwhelmingly voted for Kamala is utterly unacceptable. Morally bankrupt."
