Rep. Becca Balint, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Vermont's at-large district, has expressed her concerns on social media regarding recent developments related to Social Security and political figures. Her posts highlight significant issues she perceives with current policies and actions.

On March 25, 2025, Rep. Balint criticized efforts that she believes undermine Social Security benefits. She stated, "They are deeply underestimating the fury and rage this is igniting across the country. Do not mess with people's Social Security. This is an EARNED benefit. It’s YOUR money."

The following day, March 26, 2025, she commented on a peculiar situation involving Jeffrey Goldberg's phone number being "sucked into" his phone, expressing skepticism about the explanation provided to the public. She remarked, "Jeffrey Goldberg's number was 'sucked into' his phone? That's a new one! Pretty sad they think the American people are dumb enough to buy this."

Later that same day, Rep. Balint addressed actions taken by former President Trump concerning Social Security operations. She pointed out several operational issues and cautioned against believing misleading statements about these services remaining intact: "Trump might say he's not gutting Social Security, but he's firing staff, shutting down offices, letting the website crash, and cutting phone service. If it's impossible to use then it's as good as gone. Don't fall for his lies."
