Rep. Becca Balint, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Vermont's at-large district, has recently shared a series of tweets expressing her views on various political figures and decisions. These posts reflect her concerns about current governmental actions and leadership.

On March 24, 2025, Rep. Balint addressed Howard Lutnick, the billionaire commerce secretary under former President Trump, questioning his understanding of the public's reaction to potential disruptions in Social Security payments. She asked: "What planet are you on?"

Later that day, she commented on the appointment of Pete Hegseth as a leader within the United States military. Her tweet expressed disbelief at this decision and its implications for national security: "...Did anyone honestly expect anything less after deciding Pete Hegseth was the right person to lead the United States military? This level of incompetence is not only utterly astounding but it’s an obvious threat to our security."

In another post from March 24, Rep. Balint looked forward to seeing accountability plans concerning Pete Hegseth and others involved in a Signal chat group: "Great, we look forward to seeing your plan to hold Pete Hegseth, yourself, and everyone else in the Signal chat accountable!"
