On Thursday, March 20, former Champlain Valley Union High School standout Samara Ashooh’s current collegiate team the Smith Pioneers won 49-47 against the UW - Oshkosh Titans in the NCAA Division III Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Cregger Center, this was the first game against the UW - Oshkosh Titans during the championship.

The Smith Pioneers’ next game will take place on Saturday, March 22 at 4 p.m. in Cregger Center against NYU Violets.

Samara Ashooh’s hometown is Shelburne and game position is forward.
