On March 19, 2025, Rep. Balint shared insights from a town hall meeting where she was questioned about her vote against the “Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act.” The act is described as effectively banning transgender children from participating in sports. She emphasized the importance of these discussions, stating: "I held a townhall and a constituent asked me why I voted NO on the 'Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act,' which effectively bans trans kids from playing sports. These conversations are so important."

On March 20, 2025, Rep. Balint criticized former President Donald Trump for his actions concerning the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). She accused Trump of dismissing Democratic commissioners unlawfully to eliminate opposition and accountability within this independent agency tasked with consumer protection. Her statement read: "Trump illegally fired the Democratic commissioners at the Federal Trade Commission, a bipartisan, independent agency that protects consumers. He wants to crush dissent and get rid of anything and anyone that will hold him and his corporate pals accountable."

Later on March 20, 2025, Rep. Balint expressed concern over an executive order signed by Trump aimed at dismantling the Department of Education. She warned that this action would lead to defunding schools and negatively impact children’s education. She urged citizens to contact their representatives: "Trump just signed an executive order to dismantle the Department of Education which will defund schools. Our kids are going to suffer the consequences."
